💨 Abstract
A South African Christian TV preacher, Errol Naidoo, condemned Woolworths’ Pride campaign, which supports the LGBTQ community. Naidoo criticized the store for promoting what he calls "LGBTQ ‘Pride’ indoctrination” and called for a boycott. Woolworths, unlike some other retailers, has continued its Pride campaign this year, albeit with scaled-back in-store displays and disabled social media comments to avoid backlash.
