đź’¨ Abstract
Julius Malema was found guilty of unlawful firearm use, including reckless endangerment, after discharging a gun at a public event in 2018. He faces up to 15 years in prison. Comparisons were drawn to Oscar Pistorius, who was also convicted of reckless firearm use, including shooting in public and endangering others, before his 2013 murder conviction. Pistorius received a suspended sentence for firearm violations.
