💨 Abstract
The City of Cape Town is reprofiling four False Bay beaches—Fish Hoek, Muizenberg, Gordon’s Bay, and Bikini Beach—to manage sand drift ahead of the summer season. This "beach-lowering" program, running from early October to early November, redistributes sand to reduce wind-blown sand issues, protecting nearby infrastructure. The beaches will remain open, with some areas temporarily cordoned off for safety.
