💨 Abstract
The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) in South Africa plans to phase out the current 'green mamba' ID book by 2030, aiming to implement safer digital ID systems. Although the document will still be valid, new issues will cease by the target date. Additionally, the DHA intends to integrate smart services into 1,000 bank branches and accessible via smart banking apps within the next five years, enhancing service accessibility.
