The 2027 Dakar Rally will be held in Portugal and Morocco, moving from Saudi Arabia due to security concerns from Yemen's Houthis. The rally will cover nearly 8,000 km, with 4,341 km of special stages. This marks the rally's return to Africa after a decade. Organizers plan to bring the event back to Saudi Arabia in 2028 for its 50th edition.
