💨 Abstract
The Border Management Authority (BMA) in South Africa has dismissed over 50 border officials for corruption, including fraudulent passport stamping and illegally extending travelers' stays. This crackdown, part of an anti-corruption drive, was aided by tip-offs and a multi-agency forum. Additional officials face disciplinary actions, and body cameras have been introduced to deter corruption. The BMA plans to recruit more staff to strengthen border management.
