💨 Abstract
On July 9 in Kuala Lumpur, Algeria and Uruguay formally joined ASEAN's Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC). The accession, marked at the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting, increases TAC's signatories to 57. This move, led by Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan, strengthens ASEAN's global ties, particularly with North Africa and Latin America.
