💨 Abstract
A bacterial disease called Goss's Wilt has been detected in four provinces of South Africa, as announced by the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development. The disease, which mainly affects maize, can spread through infected stubble and leaves. There are no known fungicides to treat it, but it can be managed by planting resistant maize hybrids, rotating crops, and reducing stubble movement.
