💨 Abstract

China has introduced a new online visa application system, effective June 23, to streamline the visa process. This system allows applicants to complete forms and upload documents online, replacing the previous in-person submission process. Once approved, applicants receive a Visa Application Submission Certificate, which they must print and use for a single visit to the visa center to submit their passport, biometric data, and visa fee. This hybrid approach reduces wait times and in-person appointments, benefiting both travelers and administrative staff.
