💨 Abstract
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in South Africa called for arrests following violent protests in KuGompo, Eastern Cape. The unrest began after a dispute over the alleged illegal coronation of Solomon Ogbonna Eziko as the "King of the Igbo Nation." Protesters set fire to vehicles and looted shops. The EFF blamed the violence on the lack of clear legal processes for recognizing traditional leaders and criticized the involvement of foreign nationals in local leadership claims.
