The Sea Point Fire Station, a historic landmark in Cape Town since 1932, is undergoing a R7.86 million renovation to preserve its heritage and modernize its facilities. Key upgrades include a new roof, electrical updates, and facade repairs. Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis and Alderman JP Smith are ensuring the station remains a functional emergency hub while maintaining its architectural significance, with the project nearing completion.
