💨 Abstract

The High Court in Johannesburg issued an interdict against Operation Dudula, prohibiting the group and its members from harassing, intimidating, or obstructing foreign nationals. The ruling, in response to an application by civil-society organizations, emphasized that only authorized immigration and police officials can conduct immigration checks. The court barred Operation Dudula from interfering with access to essential services, making hate speech, or forcibly removing foreign nationals.
