💨 Abstract
Two women, Shireen Matthews and Wanay Farao, accused of orchestrating a fatal shooting inside the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court, have been denied bail. The shooting, which killed taxi operator Dingalomoya Chintso, highlighted security flaws in South African courtrooms and escalating taxi industry violence. Matthews and Farao, believed to be the mastermind and a gun smuggler respectively, were deemed flight risks.
