💨 Abstract
Lanseria International Airport, South Africa's only privately owned airport, is planning significant upgrades to increase its capacity and establish itself as a key regional hub in Gauteng. The airport aims to handle 1.9 million passengers annually, with plans to double this number by 2032 and reach 18 million by 2050. CEO Rampa Rammopo envisions Lanseria becoming a primary regional airport for SADC and sub-Saharan Africa.
