đź’¨ Abstract
Eskom is enhancing its security measures after criminals issued fake prepaid electricity tokens through its Online Vending System (OVS). Following a breach that revealed both physical and cybersecurity vulnerabilities, Eskom is implementing stricter controls, suspending implicated employees, and cooperating with law enforcement. The utility is also developing a new, secure vending system and prioritizing public trust and operational excellence.
