💨 Abstract
Upgrades on Muizenberg beachfront are progressing smoothly, with the removal of the aging seawall currently underway. The City of Cape Town aims to open the eastern parking area near the Muizenberg Civic Centre by 1 August 2025. The project includes significant improvements to public amenities and the replacement of old seawalls. Next, sections of the seawall at Surfer’s Corner will be removed, and the historic sandstone rocks will be assessed for reuse in the new design.
