South Africa has experienced over 230 days without load shedding, marking a significant improvement in its electricity supply. Eskom attributes this to better plant performance, reduced outages, and a more stable power system. The Generation Recovery Plan has enhanced the reliability of power stations and decreased unexpected breakdowns. The Energy Availability Factor (EAF) has improved, reducing reliance on diesel-powered generation.
