South Africa has urged the United Nations Security Council to convene following U.S. military strikes on Venezuela. The South African government expressed grave concern over the U.S. operation, viewing it as a violation of the UN Charter. The U.S. reportedly captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.
