💨 Abstract
Oldest living former Springbok captain, Des van Jaarsveldt, has passed away at 96. Van Jaarsveldt, a flanker, led South Africa in one Test match in 1960. Born in Zimbabwe as Rhodesia, he played 60 provincial games and remained involved in rugby as a coach and administrator. SA Rugby honored his rugby contributions and legacy.
