💨 Abstract
A South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldier, Private Xavier Raynard, was tragically trampled to death by elephants in Limpopo during border patrol duties. Raynard was part of Operation CORONA, which aims to protect South Africa's borders. The SANDF is conducting an inquiry into the incident, which highlights the dangers faced by soldiers in remote, wildlife-rich areas.
