Gielie Basson, from Calitzdorp, South Africa, aims to set a Guinness World Record by braaing (barbecuing) continuously for 100 hours, surpassing the current 80-hour record. His attempt, scheduled for September 2025, is a second try after a 2023 disqualification due to a timekeeping issue.
