💨 Abstract
Cape Town has achieved a record R9.5 billion infrastructure investment for the 2024/25 fiscal year, the highest for any South African metro. Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis highlighted the successful spending of 92.3% of the capital budget, with Safety and Security and Water and Sanitation being top performers. The investments aim to enhance the city's resilience, economic growth, and public health.
