SAPS issued a statement disputing claims that Jerry Boshoga, a businessman, had been found deceased. Boshoga, associated with controversial entrepreneur Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, was kidnapped on November 18, 2024. Kidnappers demanded a R10 million ransom and shared videos of his torture. SAPS warned against spreading unverified information, emphasizing the trauma it causes for his family.
