💨 Abstract
As of July 31, the eThekwini Municipality has closed three more Durban beaches due to poor water quality. Currently, Reunion, Westbrook, and three additional unnamed beaches are closed for swimming, though other recreational activities are permitted. Eighteen beaches and 40 public pools remain open, with designated hours for swimming and general access. The municipality will update these statuses as conditions change.
