💨 Abstract
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has suspended payments for the R370 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, as it reviews systems and improves security to combat fraud and identity theft. Beneficiaries will have to re-apply and ensure they don't share their identity numbers. The payments will resume from January 25 and continue until January 31.
