A yellow level 1 warning has been issued by the South African Weather Service for disruptive snow and icy roads in parts of the Eastern Cape on Thursday, 31 July. The cold front will bring freezing temperatures and light snowfall, potentially causing traffic disruptions, especially on elevated and rural areas. The Western Cape and Northern Cape are also bracing for sharp temperature drops and strong winds. Residents are advised to take protective measures for livestock and pets.
