đź’¨ Abstract
The Limpopo River in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe, has turned green, raising concerns about pollution. Local authorities are investigating, with preliminary findings suggesting the contamination may have originated from South Africa, near the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe Rivers. The primary water source for Beitbridge remains unaffected, but direct use of the river water is advised against. Laboratory tests are ongoing to identify the exact cause.
