💨 Abstract
Former marathon world record holder Brigid Kosgei will compete for Turkey at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Kosgei, along with four other Kenyan athletes, including Ronald Kwemoi, will switch nationalities. The Olympic Charter requires a three-year wait after competing for one country before switching. Kosgei has won multiple marathons and held the world record from 2019 to 2023.
