💨 Abstract
Des van Jaarsveldt, the oldest living former Springboks captain, has passed away at 96. He led South Africa to a 1960 Test victory over Scotland, scoring a try in the process. Born in Rhodesia, he played for the Springboks in one Test and represented Rhodesia from 1947 to 1962.
