💨 Abstract
In 2026, Durban will introduce direct flights to an Indian Ocean island, marking a significant boost for tourism and trade. Global Airways, in partnership with Fly Vetiv’Air, will operate these flights from King Shaka International Airport, starting on February 26, 2026. This new route is expected to enhance two-way tourism, strengthen trade, and support various sectors, including agriculture and green energy.
