💨 Abstract
Spanish airline Air Europa is planning to launch direct flights between South Africa and Spain, with approval from Spain’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation for three weekly flights. The airline still needs final regulatory and operational approvals. This new route could simplify travel for both South Africans and European tourists. The industry is awaiting further developments as six of the nine available slots remain unallocated.
