đź’¨ Abstract
The Western Cape has seen a significant decline in murder rates in key areas like Delft, Gugulethu, and Manenberg, thanks to targeted policing initiatives like the Law Enforcement Advancement Plan (LEAP). While overall provincial murder rates rose by 9.1%, LEAP areas recorded a 9.4% drop, with some regions like Steenberg achieving a 56.3% reduction.
