💨 Abstract

In recent warm weather, many homeowners have been revamping their outdoor spaces, often by painting fences and furniture. However, paint expert Lucy Steele advises against painting during heatwaves. High temperatures cause paint to dry too quickly, leading to uneven finishes, cracks, and peeling. Additionally, paint left in the sun can overheat, resulting in blisters and bumps. The ideal painting temperature is below 21°C, with a maximum of 32°C.
