The number of high-ranking NHS managers earning over £110,000 has more than doubled since 2014, with 2,591 bosses now earning at least this amount. The total annual cost exceeds £285 million. Meanwhile, waiting lists, A&E delays, and patient dissatisfaction have increased. Sean Phillips suggests reviewing the number and skills of senior managers.
