💨 Abstract
Around 392,000 households in Britain need to switch from outdated RTS meters by June 30 to avoid issues with heating and significant bill increases. Suppliers, including Octopus Energy, E.ON Next, and EDF, are urging customers to upgrade to smart meters, which offer better functionality and control. Customers typically won't be charged for the upgrade.
