John Allen, a notorious sex offender who ran children's homes in Wrexham, Wales, died in prison at age 83 after serving 11 years of a life sentence. Allen, who operated Bryn Alyn children's homes for two decades, was convicted of numerous sex offenses against children in his care. He was described as acting "like God" and creating a "highly sexualized atmosphere," exploiting vulnerable children from chaotic backgrounds.
