💨 Abstract
Leicester is set to transform its city centre with an £8 million investment. The plans include revamping Leicester Market and creating a new pathway called the Cank Street Link. The market, which will also serve as an events space, is expected to complete by the end of 2026. The Cank Street Link, involving demolition and refurbishment of buildings, aims to create a new shopping area and start-up units, with work potentially beginning this summer.
