💨 Abstract
Sadiq Khan, the London mayor, proposed legalizing small amounts of natural cannabis, citing compelling evidence. However, the Labour Party and Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp opposed the idea, citing links to antisocial behavior and mental health issues. Housing minister Matthew Pennycook confirmed there are no plans to reclassify cannabis. Met Police chief Sir Mark Rowley also highlighted the drug's role in crime and antisocial behavior.
