💨 Abstract
The Grafton Centre, a declining shopping mall in Cambridge, is set for partial demolition after years of retailer exits and attempts at revitalization. Originally built in 1983, the centre was expanded in the 1990s and refurbished in 2017. With only 11 retailers left, including the upcoming closure of Vue cinema, the site will be redeveloped into science laboratories, a hotel, and a gym, led by the Pioneer Group.
