đ¨ Abstract
Former Premier League striker Dean Windass, 56, has been diagnosed with ADHD, in addition to dementia, which was discovered last year. Windass, known for his time at Hull City and other clubs, has faced post-retirement struggles with drinking and mental health. He initially found it hard to accept his ADHD diagnosis but now sees it fitting with his past experiences. Windass is advocating for former footballers to get brain scans, highlighting the growing concern of dementia among ex-players.
