💨 Abstract
Former Fulham goalkeeper Peter Mellor, 77, discussed the long-term hand injuries he sustained during his 16-year career. Mellor never wore gloves, except for gardening gloves on wet days, and now has permanently bent little fingers. Similarly, ex-Premier League goalkeeper Rob Green also endured hand injuries, wearing a finger brace in his glove for the last decade of his career. Both goalkeepers highlight the physical toll of their profession.
