💨 Abstract
Ofcom, the UK media regulator, is investigating a porn site run by Kick Online Entertainment due to complaints about suspected illegal material, including child sexual abuse material and extreme pornography. This comes after the owner failed to respond to requests for a risk assessment of illegal content. Under the UK's 2023 Online Safety Act, Ofcom can impose substantial fines, require payment providers to stop working with the site, and even block the site from the UK in serious cases.
