💨 Abstract
A 800-year-old South American mummy was found with rare and unique tattoos. The mummy, donated to an Italian museum in 1931, has three-line designs on her cheeks and an S-shaped tattoo on her wrist. The ink used was magnetite, a rare choice. The mummy's age was dated between 1215 CE and 1382 CE, possibly from the Paracas culture in the Andean region.
