💨 Abstract
In the remote Ladakh region of India, yak herders face threats from climate change, which includes rising temperatures and erratic rainfall. This impacts the availability of nourishing vegetation for yaks, reducing their population from nearly 34,000 in 2012 to fewer than 20,000 by 2019.
