💨 Abstract
Two Hong Kong pro-democracy activists, Tony Chung and Ted Hui, have been granted asylum in the UK and Australia, respectively. Both had been targeted under Hong Kong's national security law for their roles in activism and protests. Hui, now in Australia, expressed gratitude for the refugee status, which allows him to continue his legal career. Chung, in the UK, vowed to continue his activism despite facing mental health challenges. Hong Kong's government condemned the asylum decisions.
