On August 28, 2025, Amtrak will introduce upgraded Acela trains on its Northeast Corridor routes between major U.S. cities. These new trains, part of a $2.4 billion improvement project, include more spacious passenger cars with enhanced features like USB ports, adjustable lighting, and streamlined luggage compartments. The cafeteria cars offer self-select and check-out options.
