💨 Abstract
Approximately 17,000 people in Manitoba have been evacuated due to nearly two dozen wildfires. Over 5,000 residents of Flin Flon and more from surrounding communities have been affected. The province declared a state of emergency on Wednesday. Smoke from the fires is impacting U.S. air quality, and resources are strained. The U.S. is providing firefighters and equipment to aid in containment efforts.
