💨 Abstract
In a unique ceremony, fifteen young men incarcerated at the D.C. jail's Correctional Treatment Facility graduated from high school through the Maya Angelou Academy. Despite their circumstances, the graduates, dressed in orange jumpsuits under their gowns, celebrated their achievements with family and friends. Among them, Malique Outland and Nathan Washington shared their journeys and gratitude. Assistant Principal Shanon Redman highlighted each graduate's growth, emphasizing their future potential.
