💨 Abstract
The D.C. area is experiencing an unusually humid summer. With over 650 hours of dew points above 70 degrees since June 1, it's one of the most humid summers on record. This humidity is due to tropical moisture from the Atlantic and Gulf, as well as moisture from the ground. The heavy humidity means limited evaporation cooling, making outdoor activities uncomfortable.
