💨 Abstract
In Washington, D.C., traffic deaths and serious accidents have significantly decreased compared to the previous year. As of July 2025, 11 people have died in vehicle crashes, down from 33 in the same period last year. Charlie Willson, who leads the city's Vision Zero program, attributes this improvement to increased awareness, stricter enforcement, and the effectiveness of automated camera safety programs.
